i just got back from lunch there and my mouth is still watering
not sure if i’ve reviewed them before , but the tamale plate is enormous!
6 tamales, each weigh in at about 1 lb. rice, beans, and sauce - get the mole sauce. .it will change your fucking life,..
trust me.
evan got the grilled tuna special and got burned..which is rare for that place.. try the mole dammit.

indeed! as chappy dboz has related, it is hard to beat the tamale plate at curra’s! i don’t think i’ve ever eaten anything else there, besides those delectable fruity margaritas (i believe they are mango influenced?) you get 6 tamales. they are the best. i don’t think they should call them tamales. whenever i think tamales, i think those strange, shit-looking things that come in packs of a dozen from the frozen side of the supermarket.think no more! i always get a flavor of each for my 6 (of which there are 5 to choose from i believe)- doubling up on the sweeeet side, dig?
