I would kill for Taco Town's Enchilada recipe. And El Charito's pork chili recipe. I left Scottsbluff around 15 years ago for Florida and have not found decent mexican food since.

Taco Town is definitely an Iconic Scottsbluff landmark and a wonderful place to eat. Where else can you get fried tacos anymore? Their hot sauce and pork chili are top notch. I grew up in Scottsbluff and am drawn back to their food every time I return. The great debate, however, is why are there peas in their taco meat? Taco town and the authentic mexican food of Scottsbluff was honored in an article of Gourmet magazine (I think that was it) in '07. Good stuff man!

I lived in Scottsbluff, NE when I was in grade school thru West. Ne. CC (it was NE Western then)and Taco Town was always the place to go to when I would come back to visit. Believe me I would go back there today if I ever get the chance to go back and visit. They were and I believe still are the best according to my friends who still live in Scottsbluff. Well worth it!!!!

Funny thing is, Scottsbluff is noted for its authentic mexican food. I love Taco Town, and was in the midst of a Google to figure out how they make their Kick A*s Hot Sauce when i found a Taco Town friend :)
