details: Chappy’s Green is the defending champ of this small but exciting gathering of salsa lovers. BYOB and meat for the grill. If you wanna compete: bring 1 quart of sauce in a tupperware container. The winners will receive prizes and be featured on this website. Here’s some of Joby’s notes:
Just to let everyone know, there will be NO entry fee charged this year. This event is free of charge for everyone. The contest will be located by the BBQ pits and covered tables in the back of the park. Just follow the road and it will lead right to the contest site. Feel free to bring chips or drinks. Food will be provided on a first come first serve basis.
Taco TownOX will enforce security.

With the fires that we are having in Southern Cali.. Feeding people tons of tacos may be a bad idea.. Could spark an explosion or something..

Curra’s would be best, I think thay have like 3 places around town to eat right? I’m trying to pick spots that have more than one location. I expect people from all over the world to come to the hot sauce contest, ya know?

Second place was Merideth.. Flynn’s friend from North Carolina.. She won $20 from Trudys.. 3rd place won $10 from Curras..Not sure of the 3rd place winners name yet but I will find out..

The legacy lives………..thanks Joby for the People’s Hot Sauce Fest. Where there is a wrong to be righted count on the Taco Town horde to stroke the mule in the proper direction. THe AusChron pocket lining debacle guising as an honest contest is a disgrace to capsaicin afficiandos world-wide. Tomatillo & serrano blessings on you all.
