Up Close and Personal with Maudie’s Beef Fajita Tacos
this beef fajita meat is pretty good, substantial chunks, unlike say, the kind of thin-strip jerky shank you tend to get from Arandas and its clones. The meat was marinated and cooked right, so the flavor and tenderness were there. this could be the best thing on Maudies menu besides the standby tex-mex enchiladas..

best things on Maudie’s menu? don’t forget the Tatiana’s tamale & egg tacos…one of the top breakfast tacos in Austin IMO.

i say best on the menu because i have been consistently let down by most of their items.. the queso – overrated, the tamales – i can get better in a gas station, the carne guisada – a joke.
the cheese enchiladas are true to tex mex form, but not much else is worth raving about.
