Rio Grande – beef tenderloin taco
Don’t confuse this with the Brisket taco – the tenderloin at Rio is much better – juicy chunks of steak with avocado and a tangy tomatillo salsa…Great taco. Perfect base coat for a night of heavy booZin.

Latin Cafe – Guajillo Corn Chicken Enchiladas
These were very good. Savory and comforting in a very ‘home cooked by your abuelita’ sort of way. Our first trip to the former location of Dona Emilia’s (congress and san jacinto).. Cabeza got a $16 steak for lunch that was aiight.. we got a nice queso appetizer that included carnitas, jalapenos, avacado, and cilantro on the side.. worth a try.
El Borrego de Oro – Tortilla Soup

Tacos Nueva Rosita
you gotta love the down home taco trailers that come and go around the atx.. Tacos Nueva Rosita is special..the lady inside makes great homemade flower tortillas and excellent salsa’s. this place is most def worth a try. its down at south congress and crockett, next to the longhorn finance.

mango cucumber pico is delicious.
